On the inside looking out
Imagine looking into a clear crystal ball.
In that ball - however small - you can see the whole room reflected.
A micro-cosmos of the macro-cosmos if you like.
This is exactly what Sacred or ritual space is; The creation of a micro-cosmos you would like to be transferred to your macro-cosmos.
The thing is - what is created on the "outside", is the exact duplicate of what is created on the inside. The content of your time in your sacred space, is what you will receive or create on the outside.
Macrocosmos reflecting microcosmos.
If your sacred space is filled with duties, rules and mists, this is what you are creating. If you on the other hand is experiencing joy, freedom, joy and miracles? This is what you are consciously creating also in your life - and some would even say, the world.
They are mirrors of each other-
They are two sides of the same story; the macrocosmos reflecting the microcosmos.
The intent creating the result.
Having a program to hold on to
- preparations of a certain kind and expectations to go with it, is only a way of trying to cope with our insecurities.
The need to see a particular outcome - the need for safety instead of spontaneity.
If you read my blogg-post The Divine Playground, Abraham spoke to me about making my sacred space a playground instead of work or duty. I really needed that - also because having treated my sacred time like a solemn duty made me shun away from it. Put if off.
It created a fear in me of not getting it just right. Not being perfect!
So what if it was all play instead?
All the juicy, secret, totally personal things you long for and that fill you up?
And *gasp* what if by indulging in them in your sacred space, you would actually create that in your life too?!
